Siliguri, 08th January: The increasing Covid cases have once again forced the government in imposing restrictions in the state from January 03. Along with the restrictions, the state government has also issued some mandatory rules to prevent the spread of the virus. All gyms, schools, and colleges have been strictly shut down in Siliguri along with the entire state. The administration has been continuously keeping an eye for the proper imposition of the protocols.
However, defying all protocols, a fitness centre at Sevoke Road was found open this morning. Upon receiving the news, a team of Siliguri Police Station and Pantitanki Out Post jumped into action and shut down the gym. 7 people were immediately arrested for violating the government imposed restrictions. A case was registered under the Disaster Management Act against the arrested people.
