Siliguri gold merchant missing for 9 days, family in distress

Siliguri, 29th November: A prominent gold merchant, Sonu Sah, from Siliguri, has been missing for the past nine days, causing alarm in the Champasari area. Despite extensive efforts, the merchant could not be located and his disappearance has raised concerns among locals and his family.


According to reports, Sonu Sah owns a jewelry shop in Champasari. His wife revealed that on November 21, Sonu left home on his four-wheeler to collect a payment in Singtam, Sikkim. Around 12:30 PM that day, his family spoke with him over the phone. However, since then, his phone has been switched off, and there has been no communication from him.

On Friday, three days after his disappearance, Sonu’s vehicle was found near Sevoke Station, while he is still missing. His wife has filed a missing person’s report at the Pradhan Nagar police station, but the police could not gather any leads as of now.


Meanwhile, his family is concerned about his sudden disappearance. The police have intensified their investigation into the case. At present, the authorities are investigating possible clues that might lead to Sonu’s whereabouts.
