Siliguri, 02nd June: Congress announced the list of candidates today for the Siliguri Divisional Council elections which will be held on June 26. Darjeeling District Congress President Shankar Malakar held a press conference in this regard.
Addressing the media, he stated that Congress will contest 7 out of 9 seats in the elections. Naxalbari and Kharibari seats will be left out for the CPI(M) candidates.
“Left-Congress need to come on one platform to defeat the Trinamool and the BJP in Bengal,” he added.
