Siliguri assembly BJP candidate Shankar Ghosh is leading in the third round of counting

Siliguri, 2nd May: Siliguri assembly BJP candidate Shankar Ghosh is leading with several thousand votes in the third round of counting. As of now, Trinamool candidate Omprakash Mishra is in the second position and Sanjukta Morcha candidate Ashok Bhattacharya is in the third position.


On the other hand, Anandamoy Barman is still leading in the Matigara-Naxalbari assembly. He got around 50 percent votes in the first round and the Congress candidate Shankar Malakar got 6.44 percent votes. BJP candidate Durga Murmu is leading in the Phandidewa assembly.

Besides, in the Darjeeling assembly, the Gorkha Janmukti Morcha (GJM) Binay faction candidate Keshav Raj Sharma is leading. Meanwhile, BJP’s B. P. Sharma is leading in the Kurseong assembly and GJM Ruden Sada Lepcha from the Binay faction is ahead in Kalimpong Assembly.
