Siliguri 12th May: Short circuit in high tension wire in Bhalobasa More near Panchkolguri under Fulbari No.1 Zone, damaged electronic goods in about 100 houses at around one o’clock this afternoon.
Reportedly, electric meters, fans, televisions, ACs and fridges of several houses in the locality exploded. People gathered outside their houses and an atmosphere of chaos was witnessed in the area. When the power department employees reached the spot, the locals protested and demanded compensation for their losses.
