Siliguri, 10th July: With the ‘Khutti Puja’ ceremony, the Shaktigarh Sarbajanin Durga Puja Committee in Siliguri has officially begun preparations for this year’s festivities, marking its 74th year of celebration.
This year, the puja theme is titled ‘Bhaktir DNA’ (DNA of Devotion). The puja pandal will be crafted by local artisans, and organizers are hopeful that, like every year, their unique concept and artistry will attract city dwellers.
Speaking on the occasion, committee secretary Kaushik Dutta said the theme will highlight the deep emotional bond between a mother and her child, portraying it as the essence of devotion.
