Rajganj, 21st June: In a drastic change in political support, 200 families in Rajganj withdrew support from the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) and joined Trinamool Congress (TMC). In this regard, today, a meeting was organized in Morgadangi village under Panikauri Gram Panchayat in Rajganj block.
According to reports, today, the BJP workers and supporters joined the opposition TMC party in the presence of Trinamool Congress Jalpaiguri district chairman and Rajganj MLA Khageswar Roy and Rajganj TMC block president Arindam Banerjee.
Speaking on the occasion, Arindam Banerjee said that as a result of the developments under the leadership of Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, the opposition members are joining the TMC party in every booth. He added that today’s contribution has further strengthened the position of the party.
