Seminar organized at NBMCH concerning Black fungus treatment

Siliguri, 11th June: Mucormycosis, commonly known as black fungus, has raised concerns amid the second wave of the pandemic. Already, 5 people have died of the disease in Siliguri.


A seminar on mucormycosis was held at North Bengal Medical College and Hospital on Friday. Officials from various departments were present at the meeting. A guideline has already been issued by the state regarding its treatment. The seminar was organized in this concern.

In this regard, the principal of North Bengal Medical College and Hospital, Indrajit Saha, said that following the guidelines given by the state health department, treatment will be provided at North Bengal Medical College and Hospital.
