Security tightened on Assam-Bengal border in view of Coronavirus outbreak

Alipurduar, 14th March: An atmosphere of terror is being witnessed across the country over the Coronavirus disease (COVID-19) outbreak. Acting on the instructions of the state government, the Alipurduar District Health Department has started the process of scanning all the drivers and passengers from the East-West corridor in Barobisha along the Assam-Bengal border from Saturday. The above scanning will be done continuously for the next 15 days by the District Health Department. If required, the scanning deadline will also be extended.
