Siliguri, 25th January: The Siliguri Metropolitan Police has launched security operations in several railway stations in Siliguri amid the preparations for Republic Day. Significantly, the Government Railway Police (GRP) and Railway Protection Force (RPF) have heightened the security vigil at the railway stations.
According to reports, the GRP and RPF are keeping a careful eye on the Siliguri Junction railway station. In addition to this, the officials conducted a security check on the trains as well as the baggage of the passengers with metal detectors.
