Second phase of training camp commenced for newly elected Panchayat members in Siliguri 

Siliguri, 09th November: Under the aegis of Panchayat and Rural Development Department, Government of West Bengal and in collaboration with Siliguri Mahakuma Parishad, the second phase of the training camp commenced today at Naxalbari Community Hall. The said training camp will train the newly elected Panchayat members to provide services in rural areas.
Members of five Gram Panchayats of Matigara block and one Gram Panchayat of Kharibari block were present during the said camp. Matigara BDO Shribas Biswas informed that in this training camp, which will last for three days, training will be provided to the newly elected members of the Panchayat. During this, the Chairperson of Siliguri Mahakuma Parishad Arun Ghosh, Additional District Magistrate Prem Kumar Bardewa, Naxalbari BDO Arindam Mandal, Matigara BDO Shribas Biswas and others were present.
