Siliguri, 25th October: Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee, on Monday, issued instructions to re-open schools and colleges from November 16.
Initially, the date was decided to be November 15, but it was later changed to November 16 as Birsa Munda’s birth anniversary falls on the 15th.
The CM said that as of now, the ninth, tenth, eleventh, twelfth standards in schools and colleges will be reopened. Later, if the situation improves, other classes will be opened in phases. She also said that the schools should be cleaned before Kalipuja.
