Karandighi, 21st May: A safe home has been inaugurated today at Model School in Karandighi block under the initiative of Gautam Paul, MLA of Karandighi in Uttar Dinajpur district.
Arvind Kumar Meena, District Magistrate of Uttar Dinajpur District, inaugurated the safe home today. Raiganj Police Superintendent Sumit Kumar, Karandighi MLA Gautam Pal were present at the programme.
It has been learned that the safe home has 100 beds and has arrangements for three meals a day and proper treatment. Besides, there are ambulances to shift patients if their condition deteriorates. The residents of the area are happy with the initiative taken by the MLA.
