Siliguri, 08th June: The Junction Traffic guard launched a bike patrol in the city to raise awareness regarding the traffic laws.
At present, the state has announced a few relaxations in the partial lockdown due to which the traffic congestion in the city has risen once again. Many riders are being spotted without helmets and defying traffic rules. Hence, police operations are being carried out in various parts of the city.
On Tuesday, the Siliguri Junction Traffic Guard conducted bike patrolling in Darjeeling More, Champasari More and several other areas to make people aware of the traffic laws and illegal parking on roads.
According to the Junction Traffic Police, from now on, strict action will be taken against anyone riding their two-wheeler without a helmet and parking their vehicles illegally on the road. The police operation will continue every day.
