Rotting body of a railway worker recovered in Siliguri

Siliguri, 13th April: Sensation prevailed after the rotting body of a railway worker, identified as Ukil Oraon was recovered on Monday afternoon from the Siliguri Sukanta Pally area.


As per the report, Oraon, a resident of Mainaguri used to live with his disabled daughter and ailing wife in a rented house. According to local sources, the deceased went missing for the past three days and was only found after a foul smell started coming from the storeroom of his residence. The locals and the house owner immediately informed the police.

Upon receiving the news, the police reached the spot and found Oraon’s rotting body hanging from a noose. The police then recovered the body and sent it to North Bengal Medical College-Hospital for an autopsy. The police have launched an investigation into the incident.
