Rotary Club of Siliguri Metropolitan takes initiative to help the needy amid pandemic

Siliguri, 04th June: Rotary clubs are taking several steps in their communities to deal with the COVID-19 pandemic. They have undertaken various projects including free availability of oxygen cylinders and concentrators, ambulance service, and providing free meals.


Under the leadership of District Governor Rtn. Subasish Chatterjee, clubs of Siliguri have been arranging food distribution programmes with the support of Rotary Food Bank.

Likewise, the Rotary Club of Siliguri Metropolitan handed over 600 packets of biscuits to Siliguri MLA Shankar Ghosh to distribute among the needy people of his constituency.


Assistant Governor Rtn Sandeep Ghosal, Club Presiden Rtn. Shiv Sankar Sarkar, Club Secretary Rtn. Rakesh Garg, Project Chairman Rtn. Naveen Agarwal, Former President Rtn. Vikas Dungarwal and Rtn. Jyoti Dey Sarkar were present at the programme.

Meanwhile, Siliguri MLA Dr Shankar Ghosh appreciated the efforts and thanked them for their initiative.
