Siliguri, 13th December: An audacious robbery took place in the Thakur Nagar area near Eastern Bypass in Siliguri, where burglars took advantage of an empty house and made off with gold jewelry and cash worth lakhs.
According to reports, the incident occurred on Thursday when the house owner and his wife left for work. Upon returning home later in the day, the couple found that the door to their house was broken into. Later, they discovered that their valuables had been stolen. The burglars had made off with gold jewelry and cash, worth a substantial amount.
The matter was immediately informed to the NJP police station, and law enforcement quickly arrived at the scene to investigate the matter. At present, the entire incident is under further investigation.
