Cooch Behar, 12th September: The city of Cooch Behar was inundated following half an hour of rainfall. The situation left locals distressed due to the inconvenience caused by the absence of a functional drainage system in the city.
According to reports, on Tuesday morning, several areas of the city, including Rajbari Gate, Mini Bus Stand, Old Post Office Para, Bairagidighi, and New Town were inundated. The residents are facing difficulties navigating their way through the flood. In this regard, the locals complained that the current predicament is a result of a lack of proper drainage system.
