Siliguri, 06th August: Locals of Satyajit Nagar area are happy that the work to repair the damaged drainage system has begun in the area. With the initiative of Ward No. 46 Councillor Dilip Burman, the work of repairment has started fulfilling the long-time demand of the local residents. The residents of the ward were seen appreciating the councilor for taking an initiative and coming together to help them.
According to the locals, they were facing the problem of the evacuation systems of proper drainage for a long time. They were suffering and facing a lot of problems due to the poor evacuation system in the area. Despite, bringing the matter to the previous councilor umpteen times their appeals were unheard of, and no initiative was taken for a long time. Finally, the present councilor Dilip Barman has come forward and has taken measures to attend to their long-time problems of repairing the drainage system along with the helping hands from the locals.
On the other hand, Ward Councilor Dilip Barman said that the work on the drainage system has been started with the cooperation of the local residents of the Satyajit Nagar area. He also assured road construction to commence in the coming days and added that the work of repairing the drainage system could see the light because of the locals’ efforts.
