Rear-wheel of passenger bus comes off in Bagdogra, several injured

Bagdogra, 28th February: Rear-wheels of a passenger bus came off while on the way from Raiganj to Siliguri, on Monday.


It has been learned that before getting off the Ghoshpukur overbridge, two rear wheels of the bus came off. After losing control, the bus went a long way and rammed into the railing of the national highway. Meanwhile, it also hit a speeding scooty, injuring the rider. The scooty has been severely damaged. Several passengers on the bus were injured.


Upon receiving the news, the Ghoshpukur outpost police and the Phansidewa police reached the spot, rescued the injured passengers, and sent them to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital. Several of them were released after initial treatment.
Later, the bus was lifted by a crane and taken to Ghosh Pukur outpost. Police have started an investigation into the whole incident.
