Rajganj, 01st February: A ‘padayatra’ was organized by the Zonal Committee of the Trinamool Congress, of the Binnaguri Gram Panchayat in Rajganj, protesting against the National Register of Citizens (NRC), Citizenship (Amendment) Act 2019 (CAA) and National Population Register (NPR).
The rally commenced from the Sahebpara in Ambari and concluded at Anchal More after touring a distance of 5 km. A meeting was also organized opposing the ‘anti-people policies’ at Anchal More. During the event, Rajganj MLA Khageswar Roy, Co-Mentor of Jalpaiguri District Council Ahidar Rahman, Gram Panchayat Pradhan Sashi Chandra Barman, and Deputy Pradhan Tushar Kanti Dutta were present.
