Raju Bista thanked minister Bhupendra Yadav for granting extension to the plantation industry for Aadhar seeding with EPF

Darjeeling, 19th October: Darjeeling MP Raju Bista acknowledged the Minister for Labour and Employment Bhupendra Yadav for granting extension to the plantation industry for seeding of Aadhar with Employees’ Provident Fund (EPF).

Due to the lack of Aadhar Seva Kendra and the ongoing COVID pandemic, many workers were unable to complete their KYC due to a mismatch in their Aadhar and PF records.

‘I am happy to note that the Employees Provident Fund Office has granted an extension till the 31st of December, 2021 for Aadhar seeding to be completed for the plantation sector. I am hopeful that this extension will permit enough time for the tea garden and cinchona garden workers to get their Aadhar and EPF data matched.’, Bista said in a statement.

Bista also requested all tea garden and cinchona garden-related workers union, plantation owners, government officials, NGOs and youths, and students to kindly help the workers seed their Aadhar data and match it with the EPF data.

‘I am always available and my office will extend all possible assistance needed for helping the workers rectify their data.’. he added.
