Rajganj, 26th April: The Rajganj Police rescued 4 trucks transporting cattle to Bangladesh, on Sunday. 116 cows and buffaloes were rescued from the Malivita area of Belakoba around 1 am on Sunday. 9 people including the truck driver and conductor were arrested in the incident.
According to police sources, four trucks were being taken from Bihar to Bangladesh, during which, the matter came to the notice of the police. The trucks were then stopped at the aforementioned area. The arrested individuals were unable to present any valid documents. The Police also confiscated the trucks.
They were produced at the Jalpaiguri court today.
