Rajganj DYFI issues memorandum demanding appointment of rationing officers

Rajganj, 03rd September: The Rajganj Local Committee of the Democratic Youth Federation of India (DYFI) issued memorandums to various ration dealers in Rajganj demanding the appointment of rationing officers in every village to stop ration corruption as directed by the Calcutta High Court.


Debabrata Roy, the convener of the Rajganj DYFI local committee, stated that multiple allegations concerning ration corruption were reported during the lockdown period. Therefore, a case was filed out of public interest at the Calcutta High Court seeking appointment of rationing officers in each village to monitor ration distribution.

Following the verdict in the case, a memorandum was immediately submitted across the Rajganj block, including the entire state, demanding the immediate appointment of rationing officers.
