Raiganj, 29th June: The Raiganj police of Uttar Dinajpur district arrested four drug peddlers with brown sugar, on Monday night. The arrested accused have been identified as Debabrata Roy, Arijit Sarkar, Satyajit Mohanto, and Rabi Kahar. All are residents of Raiganj.
125 grams of brown sugar and 15 thousand rupees cash were recovered from their possession. They were sent to Raiganj district court on Tuesday.
According to police sources, a large police force of Raiganj police station, based on a tip-off, conducted a search operation in the Madhupur area and nabbed the four accused.
Additional Superintendent of Police Yash Verma said that information about several more drug peddlers was found after questioning the arrested individuals.
