Quarantine centre set up in Darjeeling, GJM leader Binay Tamang take stock of the situation

Darjeeling, 16th April: A quarantine centre is being set up in Darjeeling’s T.B. Hospital at Nimiki Dara and the work is said to be completed by tomorrow. 


The Gorkha Janmukti Morcha leader Binay Tamang today visited the spot and maintained that the 25 bedded centre will have 6 nurses and 1 doctor. Tamang provided 10 N95 masks and 10 none disposable PPE kits to the quarantine centre.


He further stated that the centre at the moment lacks an ambulance and protective gear, like masks and gloves, regarding which the state and administration will be informed.

He further added that a quarantine centre is now opened at Mungpoo, while the other is being prepared at Jamuni. Tamang further informed that a centre in Pokhribong is also ready and would open after a doctor and nurse would be provided.
