Islampur, 11th September: Islampur district police superintendent Sachin Makkar has sent a proposal to the higher authorities concerning the up-gradation of four outposts into police stations. Besides, a proposal has also been sent to declare Dalkhola police station as a police subdivision.
He stated that proposals to turn four outposts under Islampur police district as police stations have been sent to Nabanna to control criminal activities. The list includes Chopra’s Daspara outpost, Islampur’s Ramganj outpost, Goalpokhar’s Panjipara outpost, and Chakulia’s Kanki outpost.
