Rajganj, 13th October: Daughter from Rajganj, Priyanka Roy, brought laurels to her hometown by bagging a bronze medal in the World Children’s Cadet and Junior Kickboxing Championship held in Italy. Rajganj MLA Khageswar Roy congratulated and felicitated her today. Various representatives including the MLA, Trinamool Congress block president Arindam Banerjee and Belakoba Out Post OC Buddhadeb Ghosh felicitated Priyanka Roy. The MLA also provided financial assistance to Priyanka Roy.
Priyanka is the daughter of Naujain Roy, a resident of Chanderbari village of Panikauri Gram Panchayat under the Rajganj block. She left for Italy on the 30th of September and represented India at the World Children’s Cadet and Junior Kickboxing Championships from October 1 to October 10. In the said competition, Priyanka won the bronze medal by bagging the third position. Prior to this too, she participated in various state competitions and won medals. The family and local residents are extremely happy and delighted with her win and bringing honor to the family and the town.
During the felicitation, MLA Khageswar Roy said that they are extremely proud of her success. Today she was felicitated with flowers, and sweets and was also provided financial assistance. He further assured of all possible help to be provided to Priyanka in the coming days.
