Rajganj, 03rd July: Ahead of the Panchayat Polls, the Trinamool Congress-TMC has suffered a setback as multiple families have switched allegiance to the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP). A joining program was organized at Lalitabari under Mantadari Gram Panchayat in Rajganj block today to mark the occasion.
According to reports, the event was graced by Member of Parliament (MP) from Jalpaiguri district, Jayanta Roy, during which several families officially left TMC and joined the opposition party, BJP.
Responding to the development, MP Jayanta Roy highlighted that the party is witnessing a steady influx of new members every day. He particularly acknowledged the recent addition of families from Lalitabari, which has bolstered the party’s position in the area.
