Pratyusha Barman from Cooch Behar secures 8th position with 685 Marks in WBBSE Madhyamik Exams

Cooch Behar, 19th May: The West Bengal Board of Secondary Education has announced the results for the Class 10th Secondary Examination on May 19, 2023. Among the top achievers is Pratyusha Barman, a student of Dinhata Gopalnagar MSS High School, has secured the 8th position in the state. Pratyusha obtained an impressive score of 685.


Pratyusha’s parents, Tarnikant Barman and Kajal Roy, are both school teachers. Last year, Pratyusha’s elder sister, Prerna, had secured the 10th rank in the higher secondary examination. Continuing the family’s streak of academic excellence, Pratyusha has now surpassed her sister’s achievement by securing the 8th position in the secondary examination. The entire family is overjoyed with Pratyusha’s success.

Expressing her happiness, Pratyusha shared that initially, she felt a bit disappointed when she saw that only three students from Cooch Behar made it to the merit list. However, her disappointment turned into elation when she heard her own name being announced. Pratyusha had expected to secure a place on the merit list and she did. Her future plans include studying physics and conducting research. She mentioned that her sister’s success in the higher secondary examination last year serves as her inspiration. Pratyusha acknowledged her sister’s constant support and encouragement in her studies.


Pratyusha’s parents revealed that after witnessing their elder daughter’s achievements, Pratyusha dedicated herself to preparing for the Madhyamik exams this year. Besides her academic pursuits, she is also skilled in dance, singing, and recitation, showcasing her versatility and talent.
