Siliguri, 05th February: INTTUC’s New Jalpaiguri president Prasenjit Roy’s chief associate Sushanta Das alias Babu was detained this morning at the NJP station premises and taken to the police station and was later taken to Bhakti Nagar police station. Besides Das, the NJP police also arrested two other men named Haribishu Sharma and Ram Mahato.
NJP police have arrested several people since the NJP dry port was vandalized yesterday. Das was seen closing various shops and vehicles at the NJP station on Friday. Following which, the police detained him. Police are investigating his role in yesterday’s incident.
