Siliguri, 20th May” Pradhan Nagar police arrested a youth with three stolen vehicles and 14 mobile phones by conducting a campaign in the Devidanga area last night. The accused has been identified as Manoj Mriddha also known as Raja.
Reportedly, the incident of bike-scooty theft was increasing continuously in the area. On the basis of complaints, an investigation was launched and several arrests were also made. While the police continued to campaign in search for the prime accused, on Thursday night, the team received a tip-off regarding Raja.
Acting promptly, police rushed to the spot and nabbed the accused and recovered the stolen vehicles and mobile phones from his possession. Police are probing the whole matter.
