Siliguri, 05th July: The Pradhan Nagar police arrested a youth from Bardhaman for having a physical relationship with his lover on several occasions on the pretext of marriage. The accused youth has been identified as Pawan Das, a resident of Panchanan Colony of Ward No. 01 under Siliguri Municipal Corporation.
The victim alleged that Pawan Das maintained a physical relationship with her several times on the pretext of marriage. After she got pregnant, Das started to avoid her.
Following this, she filed a case against Das in the Pradhan Nagar police station six months ago. While he remained absconding since then.
On Sunday, the police arrested Pawan Das from Bardhaman and brought him to Siliguri. He was presented in Siliguri court today.
