Siliguri, 23rd June: Cops of Pradhan Nagar police station arrested two miscreants with firearms before they could commit a major crime. Locals grew suspicious of the youths and informed the Pradhan Nagar police station.
The cops reached the spot within a few minutes and took the duo into custody and recovered firearms from their possession. The arrested have been identified as Shiva Barman (22) alias Bouw and Pankaj Mahato (28). Both the accused have carried out many criminal activities in the past as well.
The arrested were presented in the Siliguri court today and a case under Arms Act has been registered against them. Police will take both the miscreants on remand from the court for interrogation.
