Siliguri, 17th April: Despite repeated reminders to stay home and not to come out on the streets unnecessarily, there have been several complaints of people gathering at various corners around the city deliberately violating the lockdown.
In this regard, the NJP police, under the leadership of Siliguri Inspector-in-charge (IC) launched operations in various areas of the city on Friday morning and took strict legal action against the violators.
A team of police personnel conducted a Naka checking in the Siliguri Hashmi Chowk area and detained several vehicles.
