Phansidewa, 09th August: In a shocking incident, an abandoned newborn was found in the Fauji Jote area of Phansidewa on Tuesday night.
As per reports, Nandilal Singha, a local resident of the said area overheard the cry of a baby. When he checked outside, he spotted the newborn laying in front of his residence. Following this, the matter was immediately reported to the police. Upon receiving the news, Ghoshpukur Outpost police arrived at the spot, rescued the infant, and took to Phansidewa Hospital for medical care.
Locals speculate that the infant was abandoned for being a girl child. At present, the health condition of the newborn is stated to be stable and under the doctor’s supervision. Meanwhile, police are engaged in an investigation to nab the individuals behind the incident.
