Siliguri, 05th April: The Bhakti Nagar police arrested a notorious criminal Rakesh Das and recovered an illegal pistol and a live cartridge from his possession late Monday night.
Similarly, the Ashighar outpost police arrested a person identified as Rajen Mahto with a firearm after campaigning last night based on a tip-off. A case for illegal possession of arms has been registered against both of the miscreants. They were presented in Jalpaiguri court today.
