Siliguri, 18th June: The poisonous tree Parthenium is growing vastly in various parts of the city of Siliguri. Dr Sandeep Sengupta, Dean of North Bengal Medical College has disclosed the need to eradicate the plants at the earliest.
Dr Sengupta stated that the plant reduces the level of oxygen in the air and affects the vegetation. Children are also being affected by them, therefore he appealed to the administration to destroy the poisonous plant as soon as possible.
