Phansidewa, 08th December: The Phansidewa police arrested two youths on the charges of burglary. The arrested accused have been identified as Gautam Mali (40), a resident of Fakdaibari in Siliguri, and Narayan Bairagi (35), a resident of the Guabari area in Phansidewa.
It has been learned that a theft took place at Lalit Singh’s house in Chhota Pathuramjote village of Jalas Nizamtara area of Phansidewa block on Saturday. Gold jewellery and other items including cash were stolen. After the incident, the owner of the house lodged a written complaint at the Phansidewa police station.
On the basis of that allegation, the police arrested two youths on Tuesday. They were produced in Siliguri sub-divisional court on Wednesday. Police have started an investigation into the whole incident.
