People line up outside liquor store in Assam amid lockdown

Assam, 13th April: The excise departments of Assam and Meghalaya, on Sunday, announced the reopening of liquor stores in the two states.


The Assam Government further announced that the liquor shops, wholesale warehouses, bottling plants, distilleries and breweries will be allowed to function between 10 am and 5 pm daily in the state.

After the announcement, people were sighted lining up outside a liquor shop in Dibrugarh on Monday.
