Pedestrians face difficulties due to illegal parking at NJP station area

Siliguri, 30th September: Large trucks were spotted illegally occupying road adjacent to the NJP station. As a result, pedestrians are facing extreme difficulties.

Reportedly, NJP station is the largest station in entire North-East India. The roads adjacent to the station are lying in a pitiful condition and requires immediate repair.

A truck stand is situated next to the station. Due to the dilapidated condition of the truck stand at the moment, the drivers are bound to park the trucks on the main road.

Mohammad Shahnawaz, president of the Jatiyabadi NJP Truck Association alleged that despite approaching the railway authorities twice in this concern, no appropriate steps have been taken so far. He stated that the truck stand was almost submerged underwater during heavy rain, due to which they are compelled to park their vehicle on the roads.

Meanwhile, INTTUC President Prasenjit Roy informed that renovation work is being carried out on his own initiative.
