‘Paray Shikshalaya’ programme commenced in Siliguri, students face problems due to extreme sun heat

Siliguri, 07th February: Open-air classroom programme ‘Paray Shikshalaya’ (Neighbourhood Schools) has started across the state from Monday.

Accordingly, open-air classes were also conducted at different fields in Siliguri. The students of Siliguri Girls High School, Siliguri Boys High School, and Hakimpara GSFP School attended classes at the gallery of Kanchenjunga Stadium. However, students faced problems due to exposure to extreme sun heat. Guardians expressed outrage after seeing their children in such a condition and demanded that arrangements be made for teaching in the school’s classroom instead.

Meanwhile, the teachers were compelled to bring the students of Siliguri Girls School to other places inside the stadium.
