Alipurduar, 12th April: The residents of Uttar Sonapur, including other adjoining areas, were left in a state of panic as two wild bison entered the residential areas.
According to reports, on Friday morning, two wild bison emerged from Jaldapara forest and wandered in the said areas. Subsequently, the panic gripped locals alerted the matter to the forest department.
Upon receiving the news, the forest personnel of Jaldapara and Chilapata Range arrived at the spot and managed to tranquilize a bison. Currently, the forest personnel are engaged in efforts to locate the other bison.
