Naxalbari, 09th July: 28-year-old youth died in a collision between a motorbike and a truck on Asian Highway-2 in Khalpara area of Naxalbari. The deceased has been identified as Devesh Roy.
According to local sources, the truck and bike were heading in the same direction to Panitanki from Naxalbari on Friday night. Allegedly, Devesh lost control and crashed into the truck from behind and died on the spot.
Upon receiving the news, the Naxalbari police reached the spot and sent the body to Naxalbari Rural Hospital. Today, the body was brought to North Bengal Medical College and Hospital for post-mortem. Naxalbari police have seized both the vehicles and are investigating the entire incident.
