Kalchini, 15th November: An incident of mishap surfaced from the Madhu area of Kalchini block of Alipurduar district where an individual tragically lost his life while another youth was injured.
According to reports, on Tuesday night, a person named Bhagwan Das, a worker of the Madhu Tea Estate, went to Godmabari along with his 14-year-old nephew, on a two-wheeler. Later, while returning, the bike abruptly lost control in the Madhu forest area and rammed into a tree on a roadside. Consequently, both the occupants of the bike fell to the ground.
Subsequently, the locals rushed to the scene, rescued both the injured, and took them to Latabari Hospital, where Bhagwan Das succumbed to his injuries. Meanwhile, the youth being in a critical condition was referred to Alipurduar District Hospital for further medical care.
