Bidhannagar, 18th July: One person was injured in a road accident that took place on National Highway-31 in Bidhannagar area of Phansidewa, on Monday. The incident created a stir in the area.
Reportedly, a 12-wheeler lorry rammed into a pineapple laden pick-up van this morning. In the accident, the van driver sustained serious injuries and was rushed to the hospital. After the incident, the angry locals staged a roadblock and also vandalized the lorry.
Upon receiving the news of the incident, the police of Bidhannagar Out Post reached the spot and lifted the road blockade. Meanwhile, taking advantage of the situation, the lorry driver fled from the site. Police are probing the entire incident.
