Rajganj, 25th June: A resident of Shitlapara handed over a man to the NJP police accusing him of duping her of cash under the pretext of providing a job. The accused has been identified as Atanu Mukherjee, a resident of Matigara in Siliguri.
Reportedly, about two months ago, Atanu took money from the said woman in exchange of getting her a job as a receptionist in a private school in Fulbari. When the accused failed to keep his word, the woman called Atanu Mukherjee in Jiaganj of Fulbari on Saturday and handed him over to the police.
Meanwhile, Atanu Mukherjee admitted to taking Rs 1500 from the woman and assured to return back the money.
