Siliguri, 30th July: A youth was arrested with intoxicant injections from Siliguri’s Junction area by the undercover police of Pradhan Nagar police station. The accused have been identified as Pema Tamang, a resident of Darjeeling.
Reportedly, Tamang was heading towards Darjeeling this evening with a large number of banned drugs. The cops successfully nabbed him and took him into custody. Upon searching him about 200 pieces of narcotic injections were recovered from his bag. Tamang was arrested by registering a case under the NDPS Act under legal action under the supervision of the Deputy Magistrate. The accused will be produced in the Siliguri court tomorrow. Police are probing the whole matter.
