Siliguri, 30th May: NJP Police arrested a person identified as Daniel Ali with a large quantity of cannabis. Based on a tip-off, the police conducted an operation in the Noukaghat area and took Daniel into custody. Upon searching him, 35 kg of cannabis was recovered from his possession.
Reportedly, the accused was transporting the cannabis for sale in Nepal. The market value of the seized cannabis is said to be around Rs 1.5 lakh. The accused was produced in Jalpaiguri court today.
