One arrested with 3-foot-long deer antlers in Rajganj

Rajganj, 15th September: The Ambari Range Forest personnel have successfully apprehended an individual and seized a three-foot-long deer antler. However, the identification of the accused has not been disclosed for investigation purposes.


As per reports, the forest personnel led by Ambari Range Forest Officer Alamgir Haque, acting on a tip-off, launched an operation in the vicinity under the jurisdiction of the Ambari police station and successfully recovered the deer antlers. Following this, the accused was arrested. According to forest department sources, the operation was successfully conducted by posing as buyers.

On Friday, the accused was produced before the Jalpaiguri District Court. Meanwhile, the forest officials are on a hunt to apprehend other miscreants involved in the illegal business.
